On Monday, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu signed the student loan bill alongside punishment for defaulters who fail to repay after two years of finishing university.
The social media critic, Reno Omokri commended President Tinubu for signing the bill as the impact on the common man is numerous.
While reacting to the good news, he claimed “It makes better sense to spend money on education than on fuel subsidy”.
Omokri added that the Former Lagos State Governor has achieved half of his campaign promises making his first few days in office better off Buhari’s 8 years.
In his words, he said;
“President Bola Tinubu deserves more than kudos for the Student Loan initiative. This scheme is exactly what we need to unleash the value domiciled in Nigeria’s youth. The interest free aspect of the loan is highly generous. It makes better sense to spend money on education than on fuel subsidy.”
“In just two weeks, Tinubu has fulfilled more electoral promises than Buhari fulfilled in eight years. This is the epitome of hitting the ground running. Countries do not grow Great by what is under their ground.”
“It is what is between their people’s ears that leads to their greatness. President Tinubu gets this, and I will not withhold praise from whom it is due! And this goes for when he does wrong too. Carrot and stick.”
“I support Waziri Atiku Abubakar. I am behind his petition to set aside the declaration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the duly elected President. If an election is held tomorrow, I will support him.”
“But until the Supreme Court decides the case, I will praise President Bola Tinubu if and when he does well, and fight him, if and when he does wrong. So far, apart from the Emefiele issue, he is doing splendidly well. And he deserves accolades.”
