Earlier today, Former Minister under President Buhari’s administration, Senator Godswill Akpabio emerged as president of the upper chamber after polling 56 votes from his colleagues.

Sanwo-Olu took to his Twitter handle to congratulate his fellow party chieftain, claiming “His vast experience and dedication to public service make him a worthy leader for this crucial role.” CONTINUE READING

Sanwo-Olu also thanked Mr. President for helping Akpabio emerge. Recall President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu received Akpabio multiple times at the villa and made it known to other Senators via body language that the Former Governor of Akwa Ibom was his preferred candidate for the seat of the Senate President.

He wrote;
