Lady Challenges Nigerians To Be Honest About Sexual Intentions In Relationships
A Nigerian lady has sparked widespread conversations on social media after urging people to be honest about their intentions when approaching potential romantic partners, particularly when they are interested in sexual relationships rather than genuine romance.
In a viral video, the woman questioned why some individuals pretend to be in love with others simply because they want to have sex, only to end the relationship after achieving their desires.
According to Bush Radio Academy, she argued that people should communicate their feelings and expectations honestly instead of making false promises of love to convince others to become sexually involved with them.
She maintained that there was nothing wrong with openly expressing sexual attraction to someone and proposing a physical relationship, provided both parties understood the arrangement and willingly agreed to it.
The lady explained that anyone interested in a casual sexual relationship should be straightforward about their intentions rather than pretending to have romantic feelings.
In her words, “But is it not better to just tell somebody that, ‘Oh, I’m just sexually attracted to you. I don’t have feelings for you. I just want to get down with you, and that’s it’?
“And if the person agrees, fine. If the person doesn’t, no wahala.
“But using love, lying to somebody that you love them so that you can get down with them, after you get down, you leave. That’s such a challenge.”
She further questioned why people would go through the stress of convincing someone to fall in love with them when their actual intention was simply to have sex.
Describing the practice as unnecessary, she insisted that honesty would help prevent emotional disappointment and stop people from entering relationships under false expectations.
Emphasising her point, she said society had become more informed about relationships in 2026, making it unnecessary for anyone to pretend to have genuine romantic feelings to achieve a physical relationship.
“We are literally in big 2026. Everybody is woke at this point. You can literally come out and state your intentions purely instead of lying,” she said.
The woman also encouraged people to accept rejection when their intentions were not welcomed, rather than resorting to emotional manipulation or pressuring others into accepting their proposals.
She noted that anyone who honestly communicates their desires should be prepared for either acceptance or rejection and should respect the other person’s decision.
She concluded by arguing that there were billions of people in the world, meaning anyone seeking a particular kind of relationship could eventually find someone with similar expectations.
Her comments have added to ongoing social media discussions about honesty, consent, emotional manipulation and the importance of clearly communicating expectations in romantic relationships.
