Some People Worked Hard For Years – Tonto Dikeh Defends Wealthy Nigerians
Nollywood actress and evangelist Tonto Dikeh has cautioned Nigerians against assuming that wealthy individuals acquire their riches through money rituals, immoral activities or other questionable practices.
The actress made the remarks while preaching to members of her newly established ministry, New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle (NWPT), where she encouraged people to recognise and develop their talents as a pathway to financial success.
According to Bush Radio Academy, Dikeh explained that many successful individuals had worked tirelessly for several years before their efforts eventually yielded financial rewards. She therefore urged people to stop judging wealthy men and women based on their financial status or material possessions.
The actress maintained that everyone possesses certain abilities and gifts that could be transformed into sources of wealth if properly discovered, developed and utilised.
She encouraged her listeners not to allow their talents to remain dormant, stressing that personal abilities could become valuable tools for achieving prosperity.
Addressing assumptions surrounding the lifestyles of wealthy people, Dikeh said not every rich man was involved in money rituals, just as not every wealthy woman acquired her fortune through relationships with men.
She said, “Not every rich man is a ritualist, and not every rich woman sleeps with men. Some people have worked hard for years before their efforts finally paid off. So when you see someone driving a Lamborghini, you’re like, ‘Hmm, he’s a ritualist.’ Not every rich man is a ritualist.”
Dikeh further explained that some people had achieved financial success by identifying their natural abilities and working consistently to develop them, regardless of their religious beliefs.
She also emphasised that God’s love and grace were not exclusive to Christians, noting that both believers and non-believers could experience divine blessings.
The actress urged Nigerians to change their perception of wealth, focus on discovering their potential and understand that hard work, talent development and dedication could contribute significantly to achieving financial success.
