Dollar To Naira Exchange Rate Today, November 5, 2026: Naira Trades At ₦1,347.30
The Nigerian naira is exchanging at approximately ₦1,347.30 against the United States dollar in the official foreign exchange market on Thursday, November 5, 2026, while the parallel market continues to record higher rates.
The difference between the official and parallel market rates remains an important consideration for individuals and businesses seeking foreign currencies for international transactions and other financial obligations.
According to Bush Radio Academy, the dollar is trading at approximately ₦1,347.30 at the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM), the official platform for foreign exchange transactions involving authorised financial institutions and eligible market participants.
Meanwhile, in the parallel market, commonly known as the black market, Bureau De Change (BDC) operators are buying the dollar at approximately ₦1,380 and selling it for around ₦1,390.
This indicates a difference of about ₦42.70 between the official exchange rate and the parallel market selling price.
The variation reflects differences in foreign exchange availability, demand and market conditions across the two channels.
The naira-to-dollar exchange rate is not fixed and may fluctuate throughout the day depending on dollar supply, market liquidity, demand and other economic developments.
Nigerians planning overseas education, international travel, medical treatment, importation and other foreign currency transactions have been advised to confirm prevailing rates before making payments.
Individuals and businesses are also encouraged to obtain updated quotations from their banks and licensed Bureau De Change operators, as exchange rates may vary depending on the provider and location.
The figures represent indicative market rates and may change as trading activities continue.
It is also important to note that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) does not officially recognise the parallel market and advises customers to obtain foreign exchange through authorised banking channels.
