The directive, contained in a signal from the Force Headquarters dated July 12, includes the withdrawal of police orderlies from former governors, senators, ministers, and family members of former President Muhammadu Buhari, among other politically-exposed individuals across the country…CONTINUE READING

The list of affected individuals also includes former governor Ikedi Ohakim, former cabinet secretary Boss Mustapha, former governors Adamu Mu’Azu, Danjuma Goje, Gbenga Daniel, and Bello Matawalle, as well as former ministers Maigari Dingyadi and Timipre Sylva.

Other prominent figures mentioned in the memo were former senator Haliru Jika, former budget minister Clem Ikanade Agba, former PDP chairman Iyorchia Ayu, former House member Rabiu Lawan, and former senator Stephen Adey.

While the memo did not provide specific details for some individuals, it mentioned the withdrawal of security aides from a former science and technology minister, former National Assembly clerk, former power minister, a brother to Aisha Buhari, and a brother to former President Buhari referred to as “Daura.”

However, as of now, compliance with the directive remains uncertain, as some of the politicians mentioned stated that their orderlies have not been withdrawn despite the issuance of the written directive on July 12.
