Tragic Incident In Anambra State As Family And Others Die from Generator Fumes

The incident occurred on Wednesday and was discovered when a friend, who was meant to join them in celebration, found the doors locked and the generator still running.

The man’s wife had recently given birth, and he had planned a surprise gift by moving the family to their new home.
Unfortunately, only the four-day-old baby survived the incident. The wife and one of the daughters were found unconscious and rushed to St.
Charles Borromeo Hospital in Onitsha, where resuscitation efforts, including oxygen treatment, proved futile.
The man, identified as Ifeanyi from Enugu State and a trader at the Onitsha Bridge Head Market, also lost his life in the tragedy.
The Anambra State Police Command is currently investigating the incident to determine the cause of the tragic loss of lives.
Further details will be provided once the investigation is concluded, according to the police spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga.
