In an interview with reporters on Sunday, the state Secretary of the party, Lawrence Okah, expressed dissatisfaction with Obaseki’s three-year tenure and asserted that the state is yearning for a change.

He emphasized the party’s expectation of a free, fair, and credible election, expressing confidence in the capacity and integrity of the state electoral body.

Regarding the 2024 gubernatorial election in the state, Okah maintained that the local government election would not serve as a judgment but insisted that the expectation of every Edo citizen is for positive change, and he believes the APC is the right party for it.

The APC scribe also blamed the party’s poor performance in the last presidential election on what he referred to as the “Buhari and Emefiele factors.”

He praised President Bola Tinubu’s recent strategies, stating that they have shown that a true democrat is at the helm of affairs.
