In a statement issued by Hon. Ikenga Ugochinyere, the deputy chairman of the Special Ad-hoc Committee on Media, it was emphasized that the Speaker’s Selection Committee is functioning independently and impartially.
Ugochinyere, representing Ideato Federal Constituency in Imo State, assured the public that the committee is diligently carrying out its responsibilities without any external interference.
He asserted that the committee members, hailing from each of the 36 states, are competent and dedicated to their task.
Speaker Abbas Tajudeen and the 10th House are committed to considering the interests of all 360 members in the selection of committee leaders.
Therefore, the House urges the public to disregard rumors of external influence and have faith in the integrity of the committee members as they undertake their responsibilities.
