Consequently, the tribunal declared Ndudi Elumelu from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the rightful winner of the February 25, 2023 National Assembly election.

In a separate ruling, the National and State Assembly Election Petition Tribunal in Kano upheld Senator Rufa’i Hanga’s election victory as the representative of the Kano Central Senatorial District.

The tribunal dismissed the challenge brought by Abdulsalam Abdulkarim Zaura of the All Progressives Congress (APC), affirming Hanga’s election win under the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the February 25, 2023 senatorial election conducted in Kano Central.
