 Dave Umahi, the former governor of Ebonyi State, has attributed his nomination as a minister to President Bola Tinubu.

The much-anticipated ministerial list was unveiled by the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, on Thursday, comprising 28 names without specifying their respective states of origin.

Femi Gbajiabiamila, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives and current Chief of Staff to the President, delivered the list to the Senate. Among the nominees was Dave Umahi.

Addressing the media in Abakaliki and warmly welcomed by Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State, Umahi expressed his gratitude to Tinubu for fulfilling his promise during challenging times.

The former governor pledged to work diligently to justify the confidence placed in him. Although he cannot determine the specific ministry he will lead, Umahi assured that he would showcase the resourcefulness and exceptional qualities characteristic of Ebonyi State. He also vowed to collaborate with the President to ensure all promises made are fulfilled.
