At a press conference held at the national headquarters, Major Agbo, the national publicity secretary, announced the formation of a five-man caretaker committee to oversee the party’s affairs in the affected states.

The decision came after a thorough investigation into alleged anti-party activities, with extensive deliberations based on petitions and complaints received from NNPP’s state chapters.

Furthermore, the National Working Committee (NWC) decided to postpone any further action until after the forthcoming governorship election in Imo State and the local government elections in Oyo State.

The party plans to fill vacant positions in Imo State in accordance with the provisions of its constitution.

NNPP called on its members to remain calm and loyal as the party undergoes repositioning and strengthening to contribute to a new and better Nigeria.

Additionally, the party urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure free, fair, credible, and inclusive gubernatorial elections in Kogi, Imo, and Bayelsa states, aiming to deepen the nation’s emerging democracy.
