NEF emphasized that the administration should avoid viewing its vision and plans for the country’s future as fixed, emphasizing that a population feeling disenfranchised by an inflexible leadership becomes difficult to govern.
The group advised the Tinubu administration to embrace values such as respect for citizens, humility in leadership, and the incorporation of flexibility into policies to better serve the country.
Additionally, the Northern Elders Forum called on fellow citizens to remain patient with the administration and to refrain from resorting to illegal actions that could further exacerbate poverty and insecurity in the nation.
The urgent need for prompt and effective relief measures to address the impending crisis was highlighted in the group’s statement.
