The statement from the PAP elaborated: “The attention of the Presidential Amnesty Programme has been brought to a press conference conducted by one Friday Iko, urging anti-graft and related agencies to investigate the PAP over alleged corruption and fraud in fund disbursement to the PAP cooperative.

“The figures presented in these claims are clearly fabrications conceived by the individual making them, seemingly with the intention to exploit the media for undisclosed, malicious purposes.”

The PAP refuted the allegations, characterizing them not only as untrue but also as lacking a foundation. It emphasized that the accusations are part of a deliberate strategy to initiate a smear campaign against the interim administrator and the committed management team, orchestrated by both internal and external forces.

Moreover, the statement cautioned the media against allowing pseudonymous individuals to exploit their platforms to propagate such misinformation.

Akpor further emphasized that the PAP, under the leadership of General Barry Ndiomu (retired), has adhered to ethical practices and maintained transparency in fulfilling its mandate of promoting peace and stability within Nigeria’s Niger Delta region.
