His background as a technocrat and his history of accomplishments as a public servant serve as a testament to his capabilities. His performance during the Senate screening is a reflection of this.”

The political scholar acknowledged that over the years, El-Rufai has stepped on many toes through his actions and statements, generating animosity from various quarters.

Kari further elaborated, “What unfolded can be interpreted as a broad coalition of powerful actors, including elements within the presidency and security apparatus, rallying against the former Governor of Kaduna State.”
