The group has expressed its concerns about being overlooked for significant positions by both state and federal authorities, citing an alleged eight-year period of neglect.

They highlighted that during the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), the previous minister hailed from the Northern senatorial zone, making it Southern Kaduna’s rightful turn.

Emphasizing the historical context, the group argued that the state of Kaduna merits two ministerial positions. They stressed, “Considering this crucial point, Southern Kaduna should be the priority zone for the current administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, even if only one slot is allocated to Kaduna state.”

The forum acknowledged the lack of social amenities and infrastructural development in their region and placed the blame on the former governor’s alleged negligence towards Southern Kaduna during the eight years of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration. The former governor was criticized for focusing primarily on zones 1 and 2.

The forum expressed confidence in Dr. Abdulmalik Durungwa, a fervent advocate and campaigner for President Tinubu’s 2023 candidacy.

Dr. Durungwa, described as a dedicated supporter of a united Nigeria, an accomplished administrator, former gubernatorial aspirant, and a reliable political collaborator with both Muslim and Christian communities, is viewed as a suitable candidate to champion the cause of Southern Kaduna.
