In an interview conducted in Abuja, Agbese highlighted that the central focus of the House is to establish an open and transparent parliament that encourages feedback from citizens, facilitating their participation in the legislative process. He referred to the 10th House as the “People’s House,” reflecting its commitment to involving the Nigerian public in legislation.

Agbese, who represents Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency of Benue State, pointed out that the expansion of House standing committees was a measure to engage a wider spectrum of Nigerians.

He cited the division of the banking and finance committee into three subcommittees as an example of this approach.

The Deputy Spokesperson praised Speaker Rt. Hon. Abbas for his leadership style, emphasizing his transparency, openness, and commitment to justice. Agbese noted that the 10th House aims to enhance legislation and bring governance closer to the people through the use of technology and regular town hall meetings.
