The governor is scheduled to depart from Ado-Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti State, to join fellow governors for the event in Kigali.
The three-day retreat will feature a range of activities, including a moderated dialogue titled “Future of Pan-Africanism and Integration in a Changing World.
” Esteemed panelists such as Rwandan President Paul Kagame, former Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta, and former Tanzanian President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete will delve into this pivotal topic.
Additionally, the retreat will host a forum aimed at engaging private sector stakeholders, with a specific focus on investment prospects within the region.
Accompanying Governor Oyebanji on the journey will be Mr. Seun Fakuade, the Commissioner for Innovation, Science, and Digital Economy.
Governor Oyebanji is anticipated to return to Ado-Ekiti by Monday, August 28, 2023, after actively participating in the retreat’s discussions and engagements.
The retreat underscores the significance of collaborative efforts in addressing regional challenges and promoting investment opportunities across Africa.
