The FCTA, through its director of press, Anthony Ogunleye, clarified that these reports were baseless and devoid of merit.
The administration characterized the reports as a deliberate attempt to disseminate false information and create unwarranted tensions.
The statement emphasized that while the current FCT Minister had expressed concerns and frustrations over irregularities observed in certain projects during routine inspections, he had not authorized or considered any action to involve the EFCC or ICPC in investigating the former FCT Minister in connection with these matters or any others.
