In a statement released in Abuja on Saturday by his Special Assistant (Communications), Phrank Shaibu, Atiku expressed his desire for clarification rather than stirring controversy.

He emphasized the importance of the PEPC addressing why the copies sent to the petitioners did not bear the same header as those distributed to the respondents, particularly the Tinubu Legal Team.

The statement further conveyed Atiku’s concerns about the fairness of the distribution process, questioning why the PEPC allowed the Tinubu Legal Team to receive copies of the judgment before the petitioners, who urgently needed the document to initiate an appeal to the Supreme Court within the mandated 14-day timeframe, including weekends.
