Powerful issued a statement condemning the attacks and urged security agencies to identify and apprehend those responsible for the killings. He stressed the importance of avoiding reprisals on innocent citizens while conducting investigations.

In his statement, Powerful stated, “We, therefore, ask the Nigeria police to go after the criminals who murdered their colleagues and not after innocent villagers.

He also called for restraint, emphasizing that no Ehime Mbano community should be subjected to invasion due to the attack and murder of security officers. Powerful concluded by reaffirming that the Biafra agitation led by IPOB has remained entirely peaceful since its inception in 2012.
