As part of the activities marking the state’s anniversary, Mrs. Eno addressed residents and indigenes both locally and abroad. She called for collective efforts to ensure the success of the ‘Arise Agenda,’ a strategic plan outlined by her husband to further drive the state’s development.
While acknowledging the steady progress achieved by previous governors, the first lady expressed her confidence in the current government’s ability to fulfill its campaign promises. She described the governor as “a man of sincerity, commitment, and a strong passion for public service.”
Mrs. Eno appealed to the media community to play an active role in promoting the ‘Arise Agenda’ by highlighting its activities. She also urged journalists to leverage their position as intermediaries between the government and the people to bring forward the concerns and aspirations of Akwa Ibom residents, thereby assisting the government in delivering efficient service.
She emphasized her dedication to engaging in activities that benefit humanity through her soon-to-be-launched pet project. Mrs. Eno disclosed that this initiative would address various aspects of society, assuring the people of Akwa Ibom that her primary role in the current administration is to offer support by reaching out to the vulnerable and less privileged.
