The North Central APC Forum had expressed concerns about Wike’s alleged dual loyalty, as he holds an appointive position within the APC while still being a member of the PDP.
The group suggested that Wike should publicly clarify his party affiliation and support APC candidates in legal battles, particularly in the North Central region.
In response, the Plateau PDP Patriotic Front has called on Saleh Zazzaga, the Chairman of the North Central APC Forum, to refrain from involving Wike in his frustrations, emphasizing that the APC has been rejected in Plateau State, and Wike has no role in that rejection.
The group issued a statement signed by its Chairman, Isa Kwarshak, and Secretary, Albert Shayen, stating that “dragging the name of the Honourable Minister of the FCT and the PDP into his frustrations is the height of crass insensitivity and irresponsibility.”
The Plateau PDP Patriotic Front highlighted that Zazzaga had previously made baseless comments and unfounded allegations against the PDP in Plateau State.
They attributed his recent actions to his frustration over the failure of the APC in Plateau State to overturn the mandate of the people in favor of Governor Caleb Mutfwang and the PDP through legal means.
