The BPF characterized the statement by the Benue Progressives Forum for Good Governance as the expression of political figures who are disheartened by Senator Akume’s achievements.

In a statement signed by Tarnongu Aku, the BPF’s secretary, the group insisted that there is no credible evidence to support the alleged presidential ambition.

The statement highlighted, “Claiming that the SGF is nurturing a presidential ambition for 2027 is an unfounded and desperate assertion.

It hardly warrants a response, but we want to clarify for the unsuspecting public that Senator Akume has no such aspiration.”

The BPF further emphasized that Nigerians should pay no heed to the claims made by the Benue Progressives Forum for Good Governance, characterizing them as diversionary tactics employed by certain sectional and religious politicians in Benue State.

The group also expressed confidence in the leadership of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, suggesting that he would excel in delivering on his campaign promises to Nigerians and potentially lead in Benue and other North Central states if he chooses to continue his efforts beyond 2027.

The BPF concluded by portraying the allegations as the strategies of long-standing political figures who, after many years in politics, have yet to find a meaningful cause to support.
