Tinubu’s appeal came in a statement titled ‘Eid-el-Maulud: Imbibe the Virtues of Prophet Muhammad,’ signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.

The President extended his congratulations to Muslims in Nigeria and beyond on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Maulud celebration. He encouraged them to live by the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Beyond commemorating the birthday of the Holy Prophet, Tinubu emphasized that this period should be a time for deep self-reflection and fervent prayers.

“Followers of the faith should make conscious efforts to uphold the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH),” he stressed, highlighting the valuable lessons in devotion, resilience, tolerance, humility, and selflessness that can be derived from the Prophet’s life.

Tinubu also called upon religious leaders to utilize this period for prayers on behalf of the nation and to encourage their followers to draw relevant lessons from the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as they commit themselves to the betterment of the country.
