Deputy Speaker Benjamin Okezie Kalu commended this move, emphasizing that it was in the best interest of both the Nigerian people and the economy.
He highlighted that if organized labor had gone ahead with the planned strike, it would have had a detrimental impact on the Nigerian economy.
Kalu stressed that dialogue between the government and labor is a crucial step in finding solutions to the challenges facing the country.
Furthermore, the deputy speaker praised all those involved in reaching the agreement between the government and organized labor, emphasizing that it demonstrated the effectiveness of dialogue in achieving positive outcomes.
He also commended the federal government for allocating N100 million for the procurement of CNG-powered buses and for making provisions for CNG kits to initiate the conversion process in the country.
