Ezekwesili remarked that if Senator Tinubu had proactively requested the institution to make his academic credentials public, it would have spared both the country and its people from the embarrassment caused by the Chicago State University (CSU) court case. She emphasized that such a voluntary disclosure would have been far less distressing and would have eliminated any doubts surrounding the matter.

She went on to say, “It would have been much easier for Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu to spare the nation and its citizens the humiliation brought about by this Chicago State University (CSU) court case by promptly and voluntarily requesting the institution to release his academic credentials.

How challenging could that have been? Such a transparent disclosure, aimed at removing all uncertainties, would have been far less traumatic.”

Ezekwesili also expressed her profound embarrassment, along with many Nigerians, when faced with derisive questions from foreigners regarding this issue that directly impacts the nation’s integrity.
