He stressed the importance of PDP leaders embracing peaceful reconciliation and highlighted that ongoing internal conflicts could harm the party’s image and reduce its chances of winning the upcoming governorship election in the following year.

He emphasized the need to put an end to internal disputes within the party so that they can concentrate on the larger goal of winning the governorship election next year.

Iyasere pointed out that over the past eight years, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has proven itself as a party that has negatively impacted the lives of Nigerians in various ways.

In contrast, he stated that the PDP in Edo State is a more viable and pro-people party and should focus on repositioning itself to attract disenchanted Nigerians seeking better alternatives.

He urged the party to manage its internal crises efficiently, acknowledging that no political party is immune to conflicts. Resolving these disputes promptly and in the best interests of the party’s stability, vitality, and electoral success should be the top priority.

Iyasere also criticized the disrespectful behavior of some members who engage in negative comments or support malicious actions against respected party leaders striving to promote reconciliation and end internal disagreements.

Notably, he condemned such malicious comments that were circulated on the Edo PDP WhatsApp group, targeting individuals like the SSG Barrister Osarodion Ogie and Edo South senatorial district leader, Owere Dickson Imasogie, who have been working earnestly to bring about lasting reconciliation and restore order amidst the ongoing conflicts.
