Atiku acknowledged that he took the West Africa Examination Certificate (WAEC) under the name Sadiq Abubakar and affirmed his identity as both Sadiq and Atiku through a sworn affidavit.
Furthermore, he confirmed his educational background, which included studying at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) and working in the Federal Civil Service Commission and the Customs Service under the name Atiku Abubakar.
These details about Atiku’s academic history were shared by Dele Momodu, the director of strategic communications in Atiku’s 2023 presidential campaign organization, via his X handle (formerly Twitter).
Momodu stated that he contacted Atiku to address questions regarding his academic record following allegations of forgery made by “APC busybodies.” He shared Atiku’s detailed response in full.
