In a statement issued on Tuesday morning by his official Spokesperson, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, Akpabio expressed astonishment at the claims put forth by the former Adamawa North Senator. He characterized Abbo’s assertions as unfounded, incendiary, and unworthy of a distinguished Senator.
Akpabio emphasized that the outcome of any court proceeding is determined by the evaluation of facts and evidence within the framework of the rule of law, and it is unjust for Senator Abbo to channel his frustrations towards Senator Akpabio or any other individual. According to Akpabio, such actions reflect a deep-seated resentment towards him.
He further stated that democracy is built on the foundation of the rule of law. Therefore, anyone accusing Senator Godswill Akpabio, a prominent advocate for democracy and good governance, must be engrossed in self-pity and disconnected from reality.
