Deputy Senate President Vows National Assembly’s Dedication To Fiscal Policy And Tax Reforms

He expressed this commitment during a two-day retreat on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, organized by the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS) in Ikot Ikpene, Akwa Ibom State.
Senator Jibrin emphasized that the 10th National Assembly recognizes the pressing need to guide the country towards economic revitalization. Thus, there is a concerted effort, in collaboration with various stakeholders, to achieve this goal.
“In a world marked by significant economic challenges, only nations with innovative thinkers can overcome these challenges. This also necessitates creative problem-solving. Consequently, fiscal policy and tax reforms, which secure a nation’s survival without adding to the economic burdens of its citizens, must occupy a central position in the country’s policies and governance,” he stated.
