Expressing their disappointment and frustration regarding this incident, the group condemned this act of vandalism, viewing it as an attack on democratic principles and a clear violation of the freedom of expression and political campaigning.
In a statement released by the group’s chairman, Augustus Nduka, they have called for a thorough investigation into the matter with the aim of holding those responsible accountable.
The group explained that the campaign materials of Governor Uzodimma, which included A-frame boards, were strategically placed throughout Owerri, playing a vital role in communicating the government’s achievements and programs to the people of Imo State.
These visually appealing structures featured engaging designs and colorful messages that showcased the accomplishments and future initiatives of the Uzodimma administration.
