Oseni, while conducting an interview with Onokpasa, clashed with him over his perspective on President Bola Tinubu’s decision to remove fuel subsidies and the overall economic condition of the nation.

However, this incident has prompted some supporters of the APC administration to claim that Oseni displays bias in his journalism.

Taking to Facebook to express his views on the situation, Kula criticized the presenter for disregarding the ethical standards of journalism.

He wrote, “There is no reason for any responsible citizen of this country to participate in any program on Arise TV that Rufai will be hosting. He is regrettably lacking in ethics, basic courtesy, and the principles of the profession.”

Meanwhile, Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has taken to social media to criticize Nigerian journalist Rufai Oseni for his confrontational exchange with Onokpasa.

On his official Instagram page, Yul stated that Rufai, who was previously caught driving in a BRT lane in Lagos, lacks the moral authority to engage with people of integrity.

According to the actor, Oseni should sit down and refrain from making disrespectful remarks. Yul referred to him as a person who acts like a deity on television, attempting to appear as the most concerned and patriotic citizen in the country.

Yul emphasized that Rufai Oseni is not superior to any other Nigerian and should take the time to learn the principles of journalism.

He remarked, “My friend, be silent and take a seat! I’m addressing you! You have no authority, and you lack any moral justification to speak where individuals with integrity are speaking! You’re uttering nonsense on national television, and you lack respect for the laws of this country! In fact, if someone like you becomes president, you will annihilate Nigerians.

Weren’t you the same person caught driving in a BRT lane? You couldn’t even offer an apology. It was only because someone had a video that you eventually went on national television to apologize. This is your modus operandi, consider the others we haven’t seen yet. Who taught you journalism? The first thing you should have learned is to respect your guests.

“You are no better than anyone out there. You are an extremely disrespectful person, and you should go and study journalism. You are insulting people on national television.

The same Rufai Oseni who insults people, acts like a god on national television, making his guests highly uncomfortable.

You pretend as if Nigeria belongs to you, that you are the most concerned citizen, that you are more concerned than all of us.

My friend, be silent! You have no moral authority to talk to anyone on television in that manner because you are not superior to any Nigerian.
