He further claimed that dissatisfied party members had abandoned the party and were now backing the ADC candidate in the election.

“In the ongoing Kogi state elections, I’m not endorsing the APC candidate; instead, I’m lending my support to the ADC candidate, who was formerly associated with the APC.

There are significant developments occurring in Kogi state that may be unclear to some. The governor has effectively assumed control of the party’s organizational framework,” he explained.

“A significant number of dissatisfied individuals who departed from the APC have found a voice in the ADC; it has become a platform for such individuals.

For this election, I am throwing my support behind Adeleke Abejide, who is a member of the House of Representatives,” he added.

This statement follows closely after the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) joined forces with the Labour Party to challenge the incumbent governor, Yahaya Bello.
