The Akwa Ibom State Government made this announcement via its official X account (formerly Twitter) on Thursday.
The government’s statement read: “Governor Pastor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has authorized the disbursement of an additional one-month’s basic salary to be paid to civil servants in December, allowing them to enjoy the upcoming Christmas and New Year celebrations.”
This additional salary, often referred to as a 13th-month salary or bonus, is intended to enable civil servants to partake in the forthcoming holiday festivities.
