Dr. Oyebanji Filani, Ekiti State Commissioner for Health and Human Services, made this announcement during a press conference to mark the event on Thursday.
The event, titled “Strengthening the Resilience and Inclusive Healthcare System for a Healthy Nigeria,” is scheduled to take place from November 13 to 17, 2023, in the state capital and will involve over 800 participants from around the country and the world.
Its primary objective is to deliberate on and address critical issues, review progress, and make decisions that shape the future of healthcare in the nation.
Dr. Filani stated, “Ekiti State will reap significant benefits from hosting this national gathering, as it will boost the local economy through tourism, provide increased revenue for businesses, and foster valuable cooperation and collaboration through participation.”
“The event will also enhance our brand recognition and bring substantial economic benefits through tourist attractions, hotel utilization, and park usage,” he added.
