This appeal was made at the Collation Centre, where the party’s collation agent, David Edibu, submitted a petition to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The SDP urged the cancellation of results in Okene, Okehi, Ogori/Magongo, Adavi, and Ajaokuta Local Government Areas, along with certain areas in Lokoja LGA.

The party alleged instances of corrupt practices, vote buying, and over-voting, emphasizing that SDP agents faced restrictions from approaching polling units in the mentioned local government areas.

The petition was received by the state’s returning officer, Prof. Johnson Urame, who assured the SDP that the submitted petition would undergo thorough review.

In a noteworthy development, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) also expressed alignment with the concerns raised in the SDP’s petition.

Abubakar Mahmood, the collation agent for the PDP, emphasized the alarming incidence of malpractices in the aforementioned local government areas.
