It was previously announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that the off-cycle governorship elections in Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi States would take place on Saturday, November 11, 2023.
The main contenders in the Bayelsa State governorship election include the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the All Progressives Congress (APC), and the Labour Party (LP).
The election concluded on Saturday, and INEC officials conducted result announcements at the polling units. Reports indicate that the election in Bayelsa State was predominantly peaceful.
