Originally scheduled for Tuesday, November 14, 2023, the exams have been canceled in light of the prevailing strike action.

A statement from the Ministry, signed by Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru, the Director of Public Enlightenment, conveyed the decision, stating that the 2023 Secondary Schools Qualifying Examination (SSQE) has been suspended until further notice.

The statement further appealed to students and parents/guardians for understanding, urging them to bear with any inconvenience caused by the suspension.
