The three-member panel unanimously affirmed Governor Bala’s win, dismissing the appeal filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Ambassador Sadique Abubakar.
This decision follows a previous affirmation of Bala’s victory by the Bauchi State Election Petition Tribunal.
Reacting to the verdict, Bauchi State Deputy Governor, Mohammed Auwal Jatau, expressed satisfaction with the Appeal Court’s decision, stating that it reinforces their successful outcome in the 2023 governorship election.
Jatau emphasized that the court’s ruling not only upholds democracy but also underscores Governor Bala Mohammed’s administration’s commitment to the state’s progress, development, and the overall well-being of its citizens.
In a statement released by his media aide, Malam Muslim Lawal, Jatau conveyed his gratitude to the Appeal Court for ensuring a fair and transparent judicial process.
