Speaking to the press after the session, Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Salihu Baba Alkali, detailed that the framework delineates the state’s projected income and expenditure within the broader context of the microeconomic landscape.
He underscored the meticulous preparation of the MTEF, incorporating diverse assumptions derived from international, national, regional, and state-level economic dynamics.
These assumptions, he emphasized, were formulated through a comprehensive evaluation of revenue and expenditure parameters.
Coordinating the briefing, Commissioner of Information and Culture, Mijinyawa Tilde, highlighted that the endorsement of the three-year MTEF reflects the state government’s dedication to prudent financial planning and responsible fiscal management.
The objective is to ensure the effective allocation of resources for developmental initiatives and sustainable growth.
