Following the signing of the bill into law, Uzodimma expressed that the updated legislation aims to inspire teachers in the state’s public schools.
By extending the retirement age by an additional five years, he anticipates that teachers will invest more time and effort into delivering the best quality teaching and learning experiences, ultimately producing top-notch graduates.
Referring to this extension as “value addition,” he encouraged teachers to enhance their commitment and dedication to their roles.
