According to Onovo, the 2023 Rivers State presidential results were compromised as they were collated by an impostor posing as the State Collation Officer.
He contended, “Stop, please. It is not the process that is flawed; it is Alhaji Mahmood Yakubu, the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and his officials that are the problem.
Onovo highlighted sabotage of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) and IreV system as contributing factors to the election irregularities.
Moreover, he claimed that a BBC report covered the impersonation of the State Collation Officer in the Rivers State presidential results.
Despite IreV data indicating a substantial victory for the Labour Party in Rivers State, Onovo asserted that Chairman Yakubu published results favoring the ruling party.
In his concluding remarks, Onovo urged opposition parties to boycott any elections conducted by INEC.
