The lawsuit, filed by Geoffrey Ihentuge and Apollo’s Godspower, names the PDP, Umar Aliyu Damagun (acting National Chairman), National Executive Committee (NEC), National Working Committee (NWC), and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as defendants.

The plaintiffs seek various reliefs, including an interim injunction to prevent the removal of the national secretary (Anyanwu), arguing a violation of Article 47 (1) of the PDP Constitution.

They also request an order to restrain the recognition by INEC of any purported appointment other than Anyanwu until the motion on notice is heard and decided.

The plaintiffs present a 16-point argument, highlighting the four-year tenure stipulated in Article 47(1) of the PDP Constitution for executive committees at all levels.
