Addressing officers and men of the command in Yola on Tuesday, Egbetokun stated that the matter has been brought to the attention of the highest authority in the country and is currently under investigation.

He affirmed, “I want to assure you that the report of the killing of Inspector Jacob Daniel has been escalated to the highest authority in the land. I am sure there will be justice at the end of it.”

The IGP emphasized the barbaric and unwarranted nature of the attack, noting that Inspector Daniel was killed in a manner reminiscent of terrorist activities and an invasion on facilities.
