with a particular emphasis on those involved in acts of rape, according to Hajia Rabi Salisu, the State Commissioner for Human Services and Social Development.

Salisu emphasized that male perpetrators of rape would face surgical castration as a penalty, while female rapists would undergo bilateral salpingectomy.

These remarks were made during a press conference held as part of the events at a Gender-Based Violence Stakeholders Meeting/Press Conference, organized by the ministry in collaboration with the Centre for Integrated Health Programs (CIHP).
