In a decisive move, the Lagos State Ministry of Environment and Water Resources has taken a strong stance against unauthorized land development activities. Operatives from the Drainage Enforcement and Compliance department issued a STOP WORK ORDER on Thursday, November 30, 2023, to a developer situated along System 156, behind Victoria Crest Estate II in Lekki. The stern action was taken due to the developer’s engagement in the illegal sandfilling of the channel and carrying out reclamation work without obtaining the necessary approval from the state.
