In a recent interview with 3Music TV in Accra, Ghana, Nigerian singer and songwriter Sadiq Onifade, popularly known as WurlD, shed light on the circumstances surrounding the hit song “Blow My Mind,” which he wrote and subsequently gave to Davido.

WurlD explained that the decision to give the song to Davido was not premeditated. While he was in Lagos promoting his project, ‘Love Is Contagious,’ he received a call from producer Shizzi. The unexpected opportunity arose, and WurlD seized it, despite initially intending to use the song himself.

According to WurlD, he had originally planned to feature other artists on the record but found himself caught up in promoting his new project and lacking the time to do so. At that moment, he didn’t have a specific use for “Blow My Mind.” Consequently, he decided to share the song with Davido and Chris Brown, resulting in the collaborative and successful track that resonated well with audiences. WurlD expressed joy in collaborating with other artists and witnessing the success of the song.
