I Did Not Transform Into A Cat To Evade DSS Arrest,” Affirms Sunday Igboho....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Yoruba Nation advocate, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has refuted claims that he transformed into a cat to elude arrest when operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) raided his residence in Ibadan, Oyo State, in 2021.

In a midnight operation on July 1, 2021, DSS operatives conducted a raid on Igboho’s residence in the Soka area of Ibadan. The DSS spokesman, Peter Afunanya, confirmed the raid, citing intelligence reports suggesting that Igboho had weapons stockpiled in his house.

During the raid, speculations arose that Igboho had transformed into a cat to escape arrest. However, in an exclusive interview with The PUNCH, Igboho clarified that some cats were indeed killed during the raid due to the indiscriminate firing of bullets by the DSS. He dismissed the notion that he turned into a cat, asserting, “It is true that some cats were killed during the attack because the DSS just kept firing bullets in all directions.”

Describing the DSS’s mission as an attempt to either kill or arrest him, Igboho credited divine intervention for his escape. He refuted allegations that he stockpiled guns in his house, labeling them as fabrications orchestrated by the DSS to falsely implicate him.

“That’s very far from the truth. How can I stockpile guns in my house? All those allegations are phantom and cooked up by the DSS just to implicate me for a planned or trumped-up criminal trial,” declared the Yoruba Nation agitator. Igboho also claimed ignorance regarding reports that the DSS brought herbalists along for the raid, emphasizing the chaotic nature of the midnight operation.
