JUST IN: APM Urges Adeleke To Reinstate Suspended Osun Chief Judge To Office....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The Osun State chapter of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has called upon Governor Ademola Adeleke to reinstate Justice Oyebola Adepele Ojo as the state’s Chief Judge. This advice comes in response to the directive issued by the National Judicial Council (NJC) to maintain the status quo.

Wale Adebayo, the chairman of the state’s APM, conveyed this message in a statement to the press on Friday in Osogbo. He highlighted that the NJC, as the constitutional body authorized to investigate judicial officers and take appropriate actions, has recognized Justice Ojo, disregarding the resolution passed by the State Assembly.

Adebayo emphasized that the NJC’s call for the government of Osun to revert to the status quo underscores the constitutional process that should be followed. He asserted that the Chief Judge cannot be removed from office or suspended without adhering to due process.

Previously reported by DAILY POST, the NJC rejected the governor’s request to appoint Justice David Olayinka Afolabi as the acting Chief Judge. The council also dismissed the resolution passed by the Osun State Assembly.
